We ask for what an order needs and nothing more. This page sets out exactly what that is, who else touches it, and how to get it back or have it removed.
1. What this covers
Divine Dove Designs makes custom printed products to order. To do that we need to know who you are, what you want made, and where it's going. This policy explains what we ask for, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
It applies to this website and to the orders and custom requests placed through it.
2. What we collect
Only what an order needs. Everything below comes from you — we don't buy data about you or build a profile of you from other sources.
Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, so we can confirm your order, send your design for approval and reach you if something needs a decision.
Delivery details — the address and postal code you enter at checkout when you choose shipping. We turn the postal code into an approximate distance from the shop to work out the delivery charge.
Your design — the artwork you build in the editor — your wording, layout choices and any images or logos you upload — plus any notes or reference files you send with a custom request.
Order records — what you ordered, the sizes, quantities and colours, the amounts paid and refunded, and the messages and status updates attached to the order.
Analytics, only if you agree — if you accept the banner, Google Analytics records which pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are and how you found us. It's counting, not identifying: your name, email and order never go to Google. Decline and the script is never loaded at all.
Nothing else — there is no advertising network, no tracking pixel and no session-recording code on this site. We don't follow you across other websites, and we can't.
The Cookie Policy sets out exactly what analytics stores, and carries the switch for turning it on or off.
3. How we use it
To make and deliver what you ordered, and to talk to you about it. In practice that means preparing your artwork, quoting delivery, taking payment, sending you the proof to approve, emailing you when your order changes stage, and answering you when you get in touch.
We also keep completed orders as our business and tax records. We don't send marketing email unless you've asked us to.
4. Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page. Your card number never reaches this website and we never see or store it.
What comes back to us is the outcome: the amount, the currency, when it was paid, and Stripe's reference for it. That's what appears on your order and in your receipt.
5. Who we share it with
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for anyone else's advertising. A small number of providers process it on our behalf so the shop can function:
Stripe — processes payments and refunds.
Cloudflare R2 — stores the images and files you upload, and the mockups we send back.
Mapbox — receives your postal code — not your name or full address — so we can estimate the distance a delivery has to travel.
Our email and hosting providers — deliver the messages we send you and run the database this site is built on.
Google Analytics — receives page views and approximate location, and only if you accepted analytics. It never receives your name, email, address or what you ordered. Google processes this on servers outside Canada.
Beyond those, we share your information only when the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Order records, including your design files, are kept for as long as we need them for our business and tax records, and so we can reprint or reference past work if you come back to us.
An order you started but didn't place is different: that draft lives only in your own browser and is discarded automatically after 24 hours. It never reaches us unless you complete checkout.
7. Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email divinedovedesigns.ca@gmail.com from the address on your order and we'll deal with it.
Deleting an order in progress isn't always possible — we may need to finish or refund it first — and we may have to keep the financial record of a completed sale even after removing the rest.
Analytics is a separate decision and entirely yours. The Cookie Policy has a switch that turns it on or off at any time, and turning it off takes effect straight away rather than on your next visit.
8. Security
Access to orders and customer details is limited to the shop's own dashboard accounts, which are password-protected and can only be created by us. Traffic to this site is encrypted, and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.
No system is perfect, and we won't pretend otherwise — but if something ever went wrong with data that concerns you, we'd tell you.
9. Children
This shop is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If what we collect or who processes it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top of it. Significant changes will be flagged where you'd actually see them, rather than buried here.
